• We recommend that you use Learning Language Arts through Literature (LLATL) for at least one of the learning years for each child. For our three younger daughters, when we used the program, they learned to enjoy writing. I don’t know if this will work for everyone, but it certainly helped us. For the middle levels, from Orange to Green, we typically did our language arts together in a three hour period. All of us sat around the dining table, and I went from child to child and worked through the lesson for the week. It was always fun when the younger children popped up with the answers to the older children’s lessons! I helped each one work the first question in each exercise, and these were finished during the remainder of the week.

Note About the Book Sets for Learning Arts Through Literature

Each LLATL level uses supplemental books (most use four, all available in paperback at reasonable prices, or they can be borrowed from the library). We offer the books for the Learning Language Arts Through Literature book sets for purchase. Each book is used in a Book Study that has a week of lessons.
