A Great Addition To Any Homeschool Science or History Course
One of the best ways to learn good character is to read biographies of famous people who exhibited great character. Read the Sower Series Biographies about scientists to supplement your science curriculum.
This series focuses on the lives of famous Christians such as Christopher Columbus, Isaac Newton, George Washington Carver, Sister Theresa, and more. Many of the authors are well known for their writing. All of the biographies are well written and are excellent for reading aloud to your younger children. If you are reading the book aloud, you can certainly let younger readers read aloud some of the easier paragraphs with your help.
My favorites in the Sowers series are the biographies of Abigail Adams, Susanna Wesley, and Isaac Newton, but each one we read has been excellent.
I loved reading biographies when I was growing up. Learning about the lives of famous characters in history helps you to connect historical events in the bigger timeline of history.
The Sowers Series biographies of famous Christians are excellent for learning about history and good character.
